What is “Hoya Madness” in Las Vegas?
Hoya Madness is an annual Georgetown University Alumni event that takes place over the first weekend of the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournament hosted by us, the Georgetown Club of Las Vegas! We think Vegas is the perfect place for Hoyas to gather from all over the country to cheer on our men’s basketball team. And thanks to some very special Hoya connections here in town, we are able to offer fantastic events at fantastic prices.
The First Annual Hoya Madness in 2011 was a huge success, thanks to the 200+ Hoyas converged in Las Vegas from all over the country in the first weekend of the NCAA tournament. The Alumni Association awarded us with “Social Engagement of the Year,” and we couldn’t be more thrilled. In 2012 we added a University Reception at Eva Longoria’s Nightclub “Eve” at Crystals in CityCenter in the heart of The Strip. We kept our popular St. Patty’s Day outdoor party at Nine Fine Irishmen pub at New York, New York Casino. We were privileged to have a talk by Dean of Georgetown College Chet Gillis, and a performance by The Chimes. It was another fantastic event!
The Georgetown Club of Vegas is committed to doing Hoya Madness even bigger and better in 2013! Please join your fellow Hoyas for what will be an unforgettable weekend, March 21-24, 2013. Bring family, bring friends, bring whomever you want… as long as they don’t show up in a ‘Cuse jersey.
